One Year Since

I've been trying to figure out what to write to mark the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the devastation of the Gulf Coast and New Orleans. It's been hard, because the situation is so upsetting on so many levels.

Luckily, the reliable blogger Scout Prime at First Draft has written it for me, better and more authoritatively than I could have done.

ThinkProgress has done an excellent job of bringing the Katrina timeline forward, showing what's been happening over the last year.
