They Lie (a continuing series)

John McCain and Sarah Palin repeatedly lie. They don't bend the truth, they don't parse words carefully in a way that might, if you try hard, yield a factual interpretation, they don't just state opinions on judgement calls. They lie. They say things that are simply, demonstrably, not true. Over and over again they do this.

Sarah Palin, in the speech that introduced her to millions, was lying. Just plain lying. She's repeated the very same lie as part of her stump speech. So, how does she respond when confronted by this?

First she tries to quibble, then she blames Congress, then she says what she actually did was OK, and never actually gets around to the fact that she's been trumpeting the claim that she did exactly the opposite as a reason to elect her.
