Tell me he's kidding. Please.

The New York Times reports: "Mr. Daschle said Dr. Frist had told him that he intended to hold a vote as early as this week on the flag amendment. The proposal has passed repeatedly in the House but has always fallen short in the Senate."

That would be the amendment banning desecration of the flag. Not only is that not even remotely the most important issue facing our nation at this moment, it isn't even a tactic protesters use anymore. Remember, 9/11 changed everything? Flag-draped coffins, yes. Flag burning, no. Hello? Dr. Frist? Couldn't you at least be working on that tort reform you were all lathered about on the stage in New York?

Changing the President won't be enough.
