Cheney rides again
"John Kerry is trying to tear down all the good that has been accomplished, and his words are destructive to our effort in Iraq and in the global war on terror," Cheney said. "As Prime Minister Allawi said in his speech, and I quote, 'When political leaders sound the siren of defeatism in the face of terrorism, it only encourages more violence.' End quote."Um, Dick? What part of "The terrorists are beyond reason. We must destroy them. As president, I will do whatever it takes, as long as it takes, to defeat our enemies," sounds like defeatism to you? Just wondering. I assume you'll want to be blaming next week's increase in violence on Kerry's statements, and not on your own administration's mistakes? Got it. Oh, and should we tell McCain, Hegel, Lugar, and the others that you'll be after them soon?
(You know, Dick and George gone so far over the edge, and their statements are getting so bizarre, they've almost taken the fun out of ripping them up. It's beginning to feel like arguing with that crazy homeless guy on the streetcorner - you just wish someone would come and get them the care they need. The difference is, the crazy homeless guy doesn't actually control the White House.)
