Amazing. Just amazing.
For those still on planet Earth, there's another evisceration of Cheney's debate statements at Newsweek's site. It covers a few that snuck under the radar elsewhere. Meanwhile:
MIAMI (AP) - Vice President Dick Cheney asserted on Thursday that a finding by the chief U.S. weapons inspector in Iraq that Saddam Hussein's government produced no weapons of mass destruction after 1991 justifies rather than undermines President Bush's decision to go to war.In other news: War is Peace. Ignorance is Strength. The Absence of Threat is a Threat. Oceania has again successfully defended itself against Eastasia.
The report shows that "delay, defer, wait wasn't an option," Cheney told a town hall-style meeting.

On another topic, Cheney said that this weekend's elections in Afghanistan could be rocky. That would be attacks by the Taliban that were "history" when Bush spoke at the convention. (I guess that's "history", as in the August 2001 PDB about Osama wanting to attack in the US was a "historical" document.)
"It will be difficult. There will be attacks on polling places. Remnants of the old Taliban regime don't want those elections to succeed," Cheney said. But he predicted that democracy would prevail in what he said was "the first election in Afghanistan in 5,000 years."
