Sometimes I want to cry

Newsweek Poll conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates. Sept. 2-3, 2004. N=1,008 registered voters nationwide. MoE ± 4.
"Do you think Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq was DIRECTLY involved in planning, financing, or carrying out the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, or not?"

9/2-3/04 Was: 42% Was Not: 44% Unsure: 14%
People! Pay Attention! There is, and I quote, "no credible evidence" that al Qaeda collaborated with Saddam Hussein's government in Iraq on the Sept. 11 strikes or any other attacks on the United States.

Forty-two percent still believe this about Saddam. Forty-two percent, and fourteen more unsure. That noise is the sound of my mind, boggling.
